Sienna Paper Mache Bowl

Textural like lime-washed, the Sienna Paper Mache Bowl has a beautiful creamy warm colour. It looks stunning on coffee tables, kitchen islands or dining tables. Handcrafted in India, this earthy piece will become a dramatic showstopper that adds functional beauty to the home. Paper mache is not food safe and should not be exposed to water.

Our papier-mâché pieces are handmade from recycled newspaper mixed with water, chalk and tree sap crystals to form a clay-like material. The clay is then shaped, rolled and moulded into the sculptural objects we admire. There is no firing or power used and the process is entirely eco-friendly. Each piece will have subtle differences in finish and these variations are part of the handmade appeal. Porous in nature, papier-mâché should not be exposed to liquids.
